    Previous students’ work

Makeupstudion Education is the only Swedish makeup school that offers its’ students an online portfolio. If you want to see the students’ work and read their reviews on the school, take a look here. It is up to the students to hand in images and text after completing their training. Some have not yet handed in their work, but this page is updated regularly. You will find that some students have substantially more work experience than others and this is due to the student’s own availability. Some of our students work full time jobs, making it hard for them to be available to do freelance jobs during their training. Being available is very important in order to get as much experience as possible and in that way creating your own network.
Below takes closer look at what some of our students have achieved after completing their training.

Åsa Östergren - By doing work experience, Åsa got a job as a makeup artist at Vimmel magazine. She was then head hunted to Plaza Kvinna magazine where she became beauty editor and did many fashion editorials. Today Åsa is a freelance makeup artist and has done several jobs for Cosmopolitan, Amelia and VeckoRevyn. Check out Åsa’s blogg here and her portfolio here!

Jenny Katura is based in Malmö where she has worked her way up and is now making a living off freelancing. She is signed with Sweden Models agency and works for magazines like Femina and Hennes. She also does many advertising shoots for makeup brand Oriflame. Check out her portfolio here.

Regina Törnwall has had some amazing jobs after finishing her makeup training, including London Fashion Week. See a lot of her jobs here!

Josefin Scherdin finished her training in 2006. She is now signed with Mika’s agency. Check out her portfolio here.

Marika Sernfält did her training in Borlänge and finished in October 2008. She has already done jobs for Elle Bulgaria, Elle Czech Republic, Elle India, Femina Fashion Switzerland, Self China, Marie Claire India and Cosmogirl Hong Kong. Check out her amazing portfolio here!

Tallee Savage is our very own rock rebel! Check out her awesome portfolio here!

Isabelle Engqvist moved to Stockholm from Sundsvall, trying to break into the makeup industry. Straight after finishing her training with us, she was hired by photographer Bingo Rimér, doing the makeup for covers of magazines like Moore, but Isabelle felt glamour makeup wasn’t really her thing. Another photographer, Jenni Porkka, noticed Isabelle’s work and saw her potential. They have now collaborated on shoots for American Slave magazine, Prim magazine and Norwegian Sva magazine. When Olle Johansson from IMC saw Isabelle’s work he said she may very well become one of Sweden’s best makeup artists if she keeps up the great work! This really pleases us and we wish her the best of luck!
